- California: Governor Gavin Newsom signed six bills intended to speed EV charging deployment, improve apartment-dweller access to charging, reduce permitting delays, and support zero-emission truck purchases and EV-battery consumer transparency.
- JSW Greentech / AMPSTAR: India’s JSW Greentech launched AMPSTAR, a new brand that will design, manufacture and sell electric buses and trucks—an expansion into commercial zero-emission mobility.
- CATL: The battery manufacturer began trial production at its new Debrecen battery-cell plant in Hungary after completing the permits and preconditions required to start operations. The facility could strengthen Europe’s local EV battery supply base.
- Ather Energy: The Indian electric-scooter maker incorporated a wholly owned Hong Kong subsidiary to support procurement and improve supply-chain resilience across the Asia-Pacific region
- India’s vehicle market: Recent data show robust demand for conventional and electric road vehicles: August passenger-vehicle dispatches reached 439,309 units, scooters reached a record 856,000 units, and electric commercial-vehicle sales rose 155% in January–August to 23,540 units.
